Dragonfly wins 2025 MCA for Best Brand Refresh

The Dragonfly team celebrates with 48 national Marketing Communications Awards winners at the SMPS Amplify A/E/C conference in Columbus, OH


The Dragonfly brand refresh project embodies our commitment to practicing what we preach. This comprehensive overhaul includes updates to our vision and mission, a vibrant new color palette, and a reenvisioning of our marketing touchpoints. Leveraging six years of data and experience, we gained clarity around our target audiences and refined our messaging, position, and identity across all platforms, including our website, social media, qualifications, and proposals.

Kayla McCause and Laura Ewan joined 800+ marketing and business development leaders at the SMPS Amplify A/E/C awards luncheon in Columbus, where winners were announced from 270 submissions across 48 categories—including a Best in Show and People's Choice award.

How we did it

Collaborating to make smart and efficient use of internal resources, we produced this effort completely in-house, simultaneously putting our new services to use and collective talents on display. Recognizing that most of our work comes through referrals, we leaned into our relationships, using testimonials to reinforce and clarify our differentiators and build trust and credibility with potential clients.


The SMPS Marketing Communications Awards (MCA) Program recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industries.

The results

The new Dragonfly AEC brand projects expertise, energy, and personality. It’s a testament to our dedication to continuous improvement and ongoing evolution. It reflects our core values and positions us as a proactive and productive partner, driving real results for our clients and ourselves. Our vision is for our clients and our team members to be living their dreams and leading the industry—and this rebrand and its results reflect a giant leap in that direction. In 2024, we increased our number of new clients by 11%, realized a 43% increase in annual revenue, and outperformed our projections by 62%.
