There's a new Fellow in the house! We're proud to share that Kayla McCause, FSMPS, CPSM has been named to the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) 2026 Class of Fellows. Kayla joins a group of 163 Fellows who represent the highest level of experience and leadership in marketing and business development within the AEC industries.
Kayla’s approach is shaped by an uncommon mix of corporate and AEC experience. She began her career in the corporate world, designing large-scale training programs, coaching leaders across multiple markets, and learning how behavior change truly happens. She brought that same discipline to in-house marketing and business development in AEC before joining Dragonfly in 2018.

Over the past eight years, Kayla's helped shape Dragongly's reputation and portfolio across our full breadth of service offerings—leading perception studies, assessments, market research, marketing and business development strategy, annual planning, and training and retreat facilitation engagements. She's supported clients of all shapes and sizes, from industry staples to industry startups, including Barton Malow, Baskervill, Bohler, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, CEC, CMTA, Deceder Group, EDiS, Emerald Construction, HOK, IPMI, Kahler Slater, SMBW, TLC Engineering Solutions, VMDO, and Weston & Sampson.
Kayla is an active member of SMPS and earned her CPSM in 2015. She has served in leadership positions for SMPS Philadelphia, the SMPS Pinnacle Experience, and Women in Healthcare. She speaks regularly at the chapter, regional, and national conference levels, most recently sharing strategies for building and leveraging AI agents with attendees at NERC and SERC 2026.
We can't think of anyone more deserving of this honor. Kayla embodies SMPS's dedication to empowering and advancing AEC firms and professionals in her daily work. We see firsthand how her tenacity for learning and passion for elevating others catalyze growth in our firm and the broader industry. She's the first to take a deep dive into trending topics, always eager to share what she's learned, and fully committed to promoting the potential of her AEC marketing and BD peers.
We wouldn't be where we are today without Kayla's creativity, care, and endless enthusiasm—and our clients feel the same. We're thrilled to see her hard work and undeniable impact recognized by an organization full of clients, colleagues, and friends.
